Hot Applied & Pourable Polymer Modified Asphalt

Hot Applied & Pourable Polymer Modified Asphalt

Mastic One is a hot applied, pourable, aggregate filled, black color, polymer modified asphalt pavement repair mastic. Mastic  One is used for sealing, filling and repairing many distresses in both asphalt concrete and portland cement concrete pavements and bridge deck surfaces that are larger than those typically repaired by crack or joint sealing, but smaller than repairs requiring remove and replace patching procedures.
Typical uses include sealing, filling and leveling of wide transverse or longitudinal cracks and joints, filling potholes and utility cuts, localized skin patch repairs, repairs prior to surface treatments, and leveling bridge approaches or faulted areas.

When properly applied, Mastic One  forms a well bonded, flexible, durable, traffic resistant repair. This material is formulated to provide neat feathered edge installation. Mastic One is then ready for traffic when it has cooled and solidified

Mastic One Ideally used for:

·         Filling wide cracks and joints
·         Filling potholes
·         Sealing utility cuts
·         Leveling depressed thermal cracks
·         Repairing deteriorated longitudinal joints
·         Skin patch repairs
·         Leveling manhole covers
·         Leveling bridge deck approaches
·         Pretreatment of fatigue cracked areas prior to surface treatments

·         Filling spalls, popouts, and corner breaks

New Airport Fire Station for Denver

New Airport Fire Station for Denver

On January 26 Denver International Airport (IATA: DEN) and Denver Fire officially opened Denver Fire Station 35 – the airport’s fifth on-site fire station and the first one accessible to the public.
Located at 25365 E. 75th Ave., near Jackson Gap Road and E. 75th Avenue, the new fire station is the first to be dedicated to responding to public safety events on the airport’s landside properties. The station’s location was selected to provide firefighters with quick access to Peña Boulevard, the Federal Aviation Administration’s radar control centre, the Final Approach mobile phone waiting area, the Jeppesen Terminal, the Westin Denver International Airport and transit centre, DEN’s transit-oriented development at 61st and Peña Boulevard and other structures. The other four airport fire stations are located on the airfield and focus on aircraft rescue firefighting and structural response.
As Denver International Airport continues to grow its physical infrastructure to support our traffic growth, this new fire station will ensure that we have appropriate fire protection assets in place,” airport CEO Kim Day said. “We are exceedingly proud of our close partnership with Denver Fire and all our first responders, whose dedicated men and women help keep our passengers, employees and visitors safe every day.”
The building covers approximately 18,000sq ft (1.672m²) and has four, large apparatus bays and an arced roof which was designed to resemble an aircraft hangar.

Initially, four firefighters, or one company, will be stationed there on a 24/7 basis with one fire engine prepared to respond to calls for service such as medical emergencies, vehicle accidents, hazardous materials incidents and fires. In the future, a fire truck equipped with numerous ladders and other supplies is planned for additional support.

Virgin Atlantic Encourages Customers to Keep Their Clothes On!

Virgin Atlantic says it is proud to be the first UK airline to participate in the Transportation Security Administration’s (TSA) TSA Preü® (also known as “TSA Precheck®”) programme.
From now on Virgin Atlantic customer’s enrolled in TSAü Pre can skip the slower security queues and enjoy a faster, easier security screening process when departing from US airports, so that they have more time to relax in Virgin Atlantic’s Clubhouse or explore the shops and restaurants in the terminal. The airline says the average customer with TSAü Pre spends less than five minutes when travelling through US airports such as JFK. WithTSA Preü, there’s no need to remove shoes, light jackets, or belts. Laptops and compliant liquids can also remain in hand luggage, making the trip through security at the airport a breeze.
Virgin says its new programme marks a step change in the experience customers will have at US airports, and is simple to access. Qualifying customers who enter a valid Known Traveller Number (KTN) or Customs and Border Protection (CBP)-issued PASSID in their Virgin Atlantic reservations and are pre-approved will then see the TSA Preü indicator on their mobile or printed boarding passes. Eligible customers will then be led to TSA Preülanes within an airport’s security screen area to proceed through an accelerated screening process.
Mark Anderson, Executive Vice President, Customer, Virgin Atlantic, commented: “We’re thrilled to be the first UK airline to offer our customers the ability to expedite their security screening process in the US using TSA Preü. We’re always looking for ways to make our customers’ journeys more enjoyable, and that’s why we’re partnering with the TSA to offer our customers TSA Preü on flights from the US to the UK so they have a stress-free journey from the moment they enter the airport to the point that they arrive at their final destination.”
Customers can find out when and where TSA Preü lanes are available by visiting https://www.tsa.gov/precheck/schedule. If a lane is not available for a flight, customers can show their TSA Preü boarding pass to receive expedited screening in a standard lane.
